Julie and Julia

Julie & Julia is a 2009 dramedy film, written and directed by Nora Ephron. The film depicts events in the life of chef Julia Child in the early years in her culinary career, contrasting her life with Julie Powell, a woman who aspires to cook all 524 recipes from Child's cookbook. Frustrated Lower Manhattan Development Corporation worker Julie Powell (Amy Adams) embarks on a year-long culinary quest to cook all 524 recipes in Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking. She chronicles her trials and tribulations in a blog that catches on with the food crowd. The film also covers the years Julia Child (Meryl Streep) and her husband Paul (Stanley Tucci) spent in Paris during the 1940s and 1950s, when he was a Foreign Service Officer who was eventually investigated by Senator Joseph McCarthy for alleged communist ties. Ephron began filming Julie & Julia in March 2008. Meryl Streep portrays Julia Child, and Amy Adams appears as Julie Powell. The film officially premiered on July 30, 2009 at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City and opened throughout North America on August 7, 2009.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra is a 2009 American live-action film released on August 5, 2009, in France and Belgium, August 6 in United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong, and August 7 in the United States and other English-speaking countries. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is computer animated movie written by Etan Cohen and directed by Eric Darnell. It is a sequel to the 2005 film Madagascar. It was produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The story shows a small part of Alex's early life. Alex the lion along with other animals plan to return to New York, they board an airplane controlled by pengiuns on Madagascar and crash land in Africa. There each animal meets other animals of same species, where Alex meets his parents and face some trouble in the jungle. The movie was released on November 7, 2008.

Madagascar

Madagascar is a computer animated movie directed by Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath, produced by DreamWorks Animation. The story follows a lion, zebra, giraffe and hippo in Central Park Zoo who are close friends. Marty the zebra plans to espace from the zoo to see the rest of the world and joins with the zoo's penguins who are also trying to escape the zoo. Alex(lion), Melman(giraffe) and Gloria(hippo) try to follow them. But all are sedated by Tranquilizer darts and shiped to kenya by sea. Penguins escape and take over the ship with the intention of taking the ship to Antartica. The crates containing the lion, hippo, giraffe and zebra fall off the boat and wash ashore on Madagascar, while the ship controlled by penguins wrecks ashore on Madagascar. The movie was released on May 27, 2005 in US.
