Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Harry Potter film series are based on the seven Harry Potter novels written by J. K. Rowling. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley and Emma Watson as Hermoine Granger. The first part of the series Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was
directed by Chris Columbus and distributed by Warner Bros. The movie was released on 4 November, 2001 in United Kingdom and on 14 November, 2001 in United States. The movie opens up with Harry Potter, an orphan raised badly by his aunt Petunia and uncle Vernon. Harry on his 11th birthday discovers that he is a famous wizard belonging to the magical world under secrecy. He joins Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardary and learns more about magical world. Also Harry along with Ronald Weasley and Hermoine prevent Voldemort from conquering Philosopher's stone safeguarded in Hogwarts.
