Inglourious Basterds

Inglourious Basterds is a war film released in August 2009 by the Universal Pictures and the Weinstein Company. Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt), the commanding officer of an American-led killing squad known as "The Basterds" terrorize the Nazis in German-occupied France during World War II. Inglourious Basterds was filmed in locations like France and Germany, beginning in October 2008. The film was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. At Cannes, Inglourious Basterds was the only US film to win an award, earning a best actor award for Christoph Waltz. The film also pays homage to the World War II .
